But which beach (let alone which island) is the best? While we understand that this is quite a subjective question (everyone has their favorite beach after all), here are our top 3 beaches based on our experience in creating beautiful and memorable beach wedding ceremonies:
Waimanalo Beach
Waimanalo Beach gets our nod because of its white sands, its green mountain backdrops and beautiful turquoise waters. Additionally, its off-shore islands and the forest atmosphere add to its uniqueness.
Sunset Beach
As obvious as its name implies, Sunset Beach makes our list because of the beautiful sunsets that couples can experience on their wedding day. A quick look through our various Sunset Beach photos and you’ll see why it’s one of the most popular Oahu wedding beaches.
Makapu’u Beach
Makapu’u Beach joins our list of top Oahu wedding beaches because it almost has every other element that most oahu beaches have. Its black lava rock formations and deep blue waters add a different element to photographs as well as the bluffs and mountain backgrounds that surround this beach. If you’re looking for white sand, Makapu’u beach has that too. Rabbit Island is just off the shoreline, and famous Makapu’u lighthouse is visible from almost every angle from the beach.
