November is upon us! It seems like it was just yesterday when the year started, and now we’re looking forward to closing 2011 and seeing what 2012 has in store for us.
It’s usually uncommon to get married during this time of the year. Most couples usually set a date for late spring or summer, when the sun is out and natural colors are vibrant. However, this year’s particularly special for one single reason: 11/11/11.
Just like last year’s 10/10/10, November 11th has been a highly sought after date for weddings because of its uniqueness, and 12/12/12 next year will be no different. These unique dates offer an added “kick” to making an event more memorable, especially when the next repeating date is going to be on January 1st, 2101! Numerological, religious and superstitious beliefs associated with this unique date also make it special to certain cultures.
With all that being said, if you’re planning to get married on this particular date, expect to pay a premium, if you can still find someone who can do the ceremony for you. Couples who want to get married on this date most likely planned and booked their event at least six months in advance, with some even booking everything at least a year out.
However, if you’re looking for a simple ceremony, chances are good that you can get hitched on this special date. You just need to be flexible in terms of time and you will have to be open to unique and unconventional ideas.
In Hawaii, a simple wedding at a beach is always a great idea. While it might be hard to get a sunrise or a sunset wedding, a time in the evening or during the daytime is more of a likely choice.
Photographers may be a bit hard to find, but there are wedding packages that will include this service for a higher fee than normal.
A “mass wedding” or a group wedding is also another idea that you should consider. Getting married with other couples can be a good idea and can be a festive one as well.
Regardless of what you do, just keep in mind that you’re doing this because you LOVE the person you’re with and no matter how you get married, that’s the important part of this whole experience. You’re sharing this special day with that special someone and that’s all that matters.
